Quiet Mind Yoga
2405 N 10th St. Suite B
What motivated you to start this business?
I started Quiet Mind Yoga to help as many people as possible. Many people may be familiar with some of the physical benefits of yoga but what they may not realize is how amazing yoga can be for your mental and emotional health as well. I want people to see how yoga can help them feel an overall sense of well-being as well as peace, joy, relaxation and freedom.
What is the history of your business?
I started Quiet Mind Yoga in 2017 as a mobile yoga studio. From the very beginning, my intention has been to help as many people as possible with the gift of yoga. I started teaching anywhere and everywhere: parks, gyms, the beach, studios, etc. It was always a dream of mine to have my own brick and mortar yoga studio. For years I worked on this dream, and I was getting close to having my own space but then the pandemic happened. I pivoted quickly and during that first year, I hosted free Facebook Live classes. In summer 2022, I found our current location. I am so grateful for our studio and all the people that help us with it.
What product/special services do you offer?
We offer 26 group yoga classes a week with the possibility of adding more. The classes vary from relaxing and restorative to strength focused yoga. We also offer private sessions at the studio or at the location of the clients choosing. In addition to yoga, we have breathwork classes, meditation, sound healing, energy healing, essential oils and more.
What makes your business product/service standout from the rest?
What makes us standout is just how much we lead from a place of service and how much we lead this studio from the heart. We have an AMAZING team of teachers that have many years of experience. We are currently the only yoga studio that offers such wide variety of healing modalities and more specifically, an energy healing modality called Siwa Murti that comes from Bali. We created our space to feel like a yogic spa while making it feel like your home away from home offering coffee and tea to our clients!
As a small business owner, what does business means to you?
Business to me means a way to connect to others. It is a way for us to share our gifts and passions with the community. This has always been about being of service and it will continue to be that for us. Business is a way for us to create and express ourselves. I love how much I get to create with Quiet Mind Yoga and it’ll only keep evolving and expanding from here!
Are you involved in any initiatives that give back to the community?
Absolutely! Part of being of service has been to give back and we’ve been doing that a few different ways. We are involved with Emily’s Meals which helps feed the homeless, we have donated items to Yaqui Animal Rescue, we offer free yoga classes to the community, we have free yoga classes on our YouTube channel, we have Community Yoga classes at the studio which are donation based and have more future events to come!
